User guide — Da Nghe

1. Installation and permissions

Download Da Nghe - AI voice assistant from Google Play: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vn.turbobh.myassistant
Open the app and grant permissions when prompted:
- Display over other apps — so the assistant floating icon appears on screen.
- Record audio / Microphone — to receive voice commands (choose While using the app when possible).
- Music and audio — to scan and play music files on the device.
- Phone and Contacts — to call by name or number.
- Notifications — to show music playback status (Android 13 and above).
On first launch, the app automatically scans music files stored on the device and syncs volume levels across all tracks. You can also tap SCAN to refresh the music library.

2. Getting started (floating icon)

After enabling the overlay permission, the assistant icon appears on screen (bottom-left by default; you can drag it, or drag it to the delete zone to hide it).

Tap the icon → the Listening screen opens.
Speak your command clearly in English or Vietnamese.
The app shows the recognized result and responds by voice or opens the relevant app.
Tap the ? icon on the overlay to open the Quick guide.

In Settings you can turn the floating icon on/off, change the startup greeting, change the avatar, and set how the assistant addresses you (Sir/Madam/Boss…).

3. Navigation

Navigate to 100 Hai Ba Trung District 1
Directions to Tan Son Nhat Airport
Navigate home (if you have named an address Home)
Navigate to … with Waze / … with Google Maps / … with Vietmap

Name an address: Settings → ADD ADDRESS → long-press a row → enter a nickname (e.g. Work, Home).
Share from Google Maps: In Google Maps, choose Share for a place → select Da Nghe → name it and save.

5. Play music

Find and play

Play music by Adele
Play music by The Beatles
Play song Imagine
Play music online … — search on YouTube (requires signing in with Google in the app)

Playback controls

Stop music / Pause music
Resume music / Play again
Next track / Previous track

While music is playing, if you give a voice command, playback pauses and resumes automatically after the assistant finishes speaking.

6. Phone calls

Requires Phone and Contacts permissions.

After receiving the command, the assistant reads back the name and number, then waits for you to confirm: say confirm to call or cancel to exit.

7. Chat with the AI assistant

Commands that are not navigation, music, or phone calls are handled by the AI assistant:

Tell me a joke
What's the weather today
Gold price today
Briefly explain …

The assistant replies by voice; after each reply you can keep asking without tapping the icon again.

End AI chat: Stop, Cancel, End conversation, Exit.

AI features require an Internet connection and use chat credits. Each time you ask a question and receive an AI reply, 1 credit is deducted.

8. AI chat credits — how they work and top up

How credits are counted

Each question sent to the AI and answered = 1 credit.
If you interrupt the AI while it is replying, the credit is still deducted.
Non-AI commands (navigation, music, phone calls) do not use credits.
New accounts receive 5 free credits to try the feature.

Check remaining credits

Your balance is shown on the overlay when you open the assistant, or in Settings → Account.

Top up credits via Google Play

Chat credits are purchased through Google Play — secure payment, supporting credit cards, e-wallets, and other methods.

How to purchase

Tap the assistant icon → tap Top up AI chat on the overlay.
Or go to Settings → Top up AI chat.
Choose a pack → Google Play opens the payment dialog.
Confirm payment → credits are added to your account immediately.

Note: Chat credits are tied to the Google account signed in within the app, not to a specific device. If you change phones, sign in with the same account to keep your remaining credits.

Purchased chat credits do not expire and are non-refundable except when a technical issue is confirmed. If you have payment problems, contact vuluongbang@gmail.com.

9. Music library management

SCAN — refresh the list of music files on the device.
Filter by Album, Artist, or Folder.
Tap a group or song to play; use the playback controls for play/pause, previous/next, shuffle, and repeat.

Say Open Da Nghe to return to the music screen from the overlay.

10. Advanced settings

a. Favorite addresses

Settings → ADD ADDRESS: view, name, and delete saved navigation addresses.

b. Default map app

Choose the preferred app when you say Open map or navigate without specifying an app.

c. Avatar and greeting

Tap the avatar in Settings to change the assistant image on the floating icon.
Enable Startup greeting and customize the message.
Set how the assistant addresses you (Sir, Madam, Boss…).

d. Playlist playback order

Choose sequential or random playback for the default playlist.

11. Sign in and privacy

Play online music / YouTube.
Use AI Chat and keep credits linked to your account.
Purchase chat credits via Google Play.

You are not required to sign in to use local music, navigation, and phone calls.

12. Report bugs, delete data

Report a bug

Enable Write log to file in Settings → use SEND REPORT to email the log file.

Delete personal data

Send a request to vuluongbang@gmail.com. Data will be deleted within 7 business days.
